Paris Trade Fair: Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris 2025 Returns With Record Exhibitors, New Trend Book and Innovation Focus

Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris is set to return for its 57th edition at the Paris Le Bourget Exhibition Centre from September 15 to 17, 2025. Organised by Messe Frankfurt France, the event will, for the first time, strike an equal balance between textile manufacturers (Texworld) and clothing manufacturers (Apparel Sourcing).

With more than 1,300 exhibitors from over 35 countries, organisers describe the shows as offering “an unmissable sourcing offer, the largest and most diverse in Europe.”

Launch of Nova Fabula Trend Book

A highlight of this edition will be the unveiling of Nova Fabula, the Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris Trend Book. Conceived as a sensory and forward-looking narrative for Autumn-Winter 2026–2027, the book has been curated by art directors Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud.

Against a backdrop of technological change, climate disruption, and a search for re-enchantment, Nova Fabula aims to decode subtle cultural and creative signals. Developed with contributions from stylists, designers, writers, visual artists, and colour experts, the book positions itself as both a forecasting tool and a source of creative inspiration.

“The opening line says it all: ‘Everything begins with a story. It is through storytelling that we move forward,’” Gérin noted. He will present the trend stories during a talk in the Agora area, while dedicated forums in Hall 2 will showcase fabrics and looks inspired by the book.

Global Sourcing Showcase

This year’s key exhibitors include strong contingents from China, Turkey, India, Korea, Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, grouped under national pavilions. Alternative sourcing destinations such as Cambodia, Myanmar, Rwanda, Vietnam, and Egypt will also be represented.

Notably, Apparel Sourcing will welcome 683 exhibitors, achieving parity with Texworld for the first time. The fair is also placing a spotlight on near sourcing, with manufacturers from Central and Eastern Europe — including Armenia and Kyrgyzstan — featured prominently in Hall 3 alongside the Near Sourcing Hub, powered by digital platform Foursource.

Over 10 European companies that previously joined digitally will exhibit in person this year. The Initiatives zone, at the entrance of Hall 4, will highlight specialist expertise, with Pasari Textiles presenting artisanal embroidery techniques, Turkish manufacturers showcasing contemporary textile creations, LISAA Mode students creating live knit and crochet pieces, and the China Textile Innovation Center curating design-led innovations.

Avantex Expansion and Innovation Focus

The Avantex sector, dedicated to sustainable and technological innovation, continues to grow. This year, it will feature a wide range of B2B services addressing challenges such as eco-responsibility, efficiency, and digitalisation in fashion.

A programme of conferences, round tables, and workshops will run throughout the three-day fair. On September 15, Louis Gérin will present Nova Fabula at 12:15 PM, while Avantex discussions will examine innovation and sustainability. On September 17, the Agora will host Bio Fashion Innovation Day, organised by TCBL, bringing together projects on local production, bio-sourced materials, and eco-design solutions through keynotes, networking sessions, and workshops.

A Leading European Platform

Now firmly established as Europe’s leading trade fair in the sector, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris offers buyers unparalleled access to textiles and finished garments while tackling industry challenges ranging from sustainability to supply chain resilience.

Paris Trade Fair: Texworld and Apparel Sourcing Paris Return to Le Bourget in September 2025 with Renewed Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

Texworld and Apparel Sourcing Paris are set to return to the Paris-Le-Bourget Exhibition Centre from 15 to 17 September 2025, occupying Halls 2, 3 and 4. The shows will once again bring together Texworld Paris, Apparel Sourcing Paris, and their specialist offshoots Avantex and Leatherworld, forming a comprehensive sourcing platform for the international fashion industry, from ready-to-wear to luxury.

Organisers expect between 1,200 and 1,300 exhibitors at this autumn edition, which has returned to its traditional September slot to better align with buyers' schedules. The event layout will mirror that of the February 2025 edition, which was positively received by both manufacturers and fashion professionals.

Participation from key textile-producing countries is already confirmed. Exhibitors from China, India, Turkey, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong will be in attendance, underlining the continuing importance of the European market amid persistent US-China trade tensions. Interest from Central European garment producers is also said to be strong, and delegations from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine are expected to make notable appearances at Apparel Sourcing Paris, showcasing high-quality, skilled manufacturing.

As in previous editions, the fair will be organised into thematic zones, with dedicated spaces for women's fashion and activewear. These curated areas aim to create a smoother sourcing journey for visitors by linking textiles with finished products.

Sustainability and innovation remain central themes. Avantex, situated in Hall 2, will focus on sustainable sourcing and technological solutions for a more transparent, circular fashion industry. Highlights include the unveiling of findings from the Herewear European project, led by TCBL, which explores bio-based, locally produced textiles as a foundation for a regionalised European market. The programme will include keynotes, panel discussions, exhibitions, and workshops.

The 8th edition of the Avantex Fashion Pitch will also take place during the show, with finalists presenting to a jury comprising notable industry figures such as Carol Hilsum, Yoobin Jung, Jayne Simone Estève Curé, and Élodie Lemaire Nowinski. The event is held in partnership with IFA Paris and Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network.

Leatherworld will return to Hall 4, adjacent to the Denim section, reinforcing the link between raw materials and finished garments. Also in Hall 4, the Initiatives by Texworld zone will spotlight the textile expertise of countries including Turkey—presenting a trend-focused area featuring leading weavers—and India, showcasing traditional embroidery techniques.

Organisers say this September’s edition reaffirms Paris’s position as a vital hub in the global sourcing calendar, blending international craftsmanship with forward-looking innovation and sustainability.

Textile Fair Report: Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris Sees Surge in Global Attendance, Highlights African Sourcing and Industry Innovation

The 56th edition of the Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris trade fair, held from February 10 - 12, 2025, welcomed over 8,500 international visitors—an increase of 10% compared to the February 2024 edition. Attendees explored the latest collections and forged business connections with 1,250 exhibitors from 32 countries during the three-day event at the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Centre.

Billed as Europe’s largest marketplace for fashion textiles and apparel, the fair reaffirmed its status as a premier global sourcing destination for mid-range fashion buyers and suppliers. Organizers at Messe Frankfurt Paris emphasised its role as an essential hub for industry professionals seeking high-quality materials and partnerships.

The event has firmly positioned itself as a key meeting point for designers, buyers, and suppliers of fabrics and finished products. It also highlights Europe’s continued significance in the global fashion industry, with France, the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany ranking as the top five visiting countries.

After several years of market adjustments, international participation saw a resurgence, with more global buyers returning to Paris. While French attendance remained steady, the event demonstrated Paris’s resilience in an increasingly unpredictable fashion landscape.

“The global market is undergoing a major transformation,” noted Julien Schmoll, Marketing and Communications Director at Messe Frankfurt France. “Beyond geopolitical and commercial challenges, we’re witnessing a shift from entry-level segments to a more qualitative offering, which now dominates global clothing consumption. We’ve restructured our trade fairs to cater to mid-range markets, curating a diverse, high-quality, and competitively priced selection in a setting designed to foster business connections.”

This year, a spotlight was cast on African sourcing, which is becoming an increasingly attractive option for buyers. Nine Ethiopian companies participated in the event, securing promising commitments from European brands. Maryse Mbonyumutwa, founder of the Rwandan group Pink Mango—the first African manufacturing platform for sustainable and ethical brands—reported positive engagements:

“We’ve had promising discussions with representatives from several European brands that may soon establish local partnerships with us,” she said.

On the buyers’ side, the fair facilitated dynamic exchanges. Bangladeshi manufacturer NZ Denim met nearly all its European clients, including Celio, Okaïdi, Kiabi, and Jules at the fair. “The show allows us to engage with design teams about materials for future collections,” said Najam Us Saqib, R&D Manager at NZ Denim. “Buyers also use their time in Paris to stay informed on innovations like Ackala Coton, a naturally coloured cotton we introduced this year.” This eco-friendly material was featured in the Econogy Tour, which highlighted exhibitors adhering to ecological and social sustainability standards.

Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris attracted a diverse range of visitors, from mainstream brands to haute couture houses.

A materials manager from a major French general clothing brand shared: “We visit the fair to meet our Indian, Turkish, and Chinese suppliers, monitor trends for future collections, and fulfill designers’ sample requests.”

Haute couture brands adopted a similar approach. Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov, founders of On Aura Tout Vu, attended the fair to connect with Chinese and Indian suppliers. “We were looking for materials and suppliers for a show production company we support and advise,” they explained. “We started with recommendations from Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris’s artistic directors and the minds behind Néocène, the spring-summer 2026 trend book. For a first visit, we discovered some truly creative and inspiring materials.”

The next edition of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, will take place September 15-17, 2025, and will include the key sectors Avantex and Leatherworld, held at the Paris-Le-Bourget exhibition centre with  a similar layout to the February edition.

Textiles & Fashion Trade Fair: Première Vision Paris reports a "Solid edition" this February

Première Vision Paris concluded its three-day show on February 8th 2024 at the Parc des Expositions at Paris Nord Villepinte reporting "a solid edition fueled by a dynamic fashion industry undergoing a total transformation".  The organisers also announced that the next edition will take place July 2 - 4, 2024.

This February, the show welcomed 30,340 visitors from 125 countries to discover the Spring-Summer 25 collections of the 1,200 international exhibitors, including 73 newcomers (spinners, weavers, tanners, textile designers, makers of accessories and components, garment manufacturers), from 42 countries including Italy, France, Spain, Korea, Japan, the UK and more.

.
Organisers pride themselves on their ability to provide trade visitors inspiration, ideas and networking opportunities to build future collections of ready-to-wear, accessories (fashion jewellery and leather goods) and footwear.   The diversity of exhibitors on offer also created a dynamic setting focusing on new ideas, trends, business and the future, underlining the show’s reputation as the global hub for the creative fashion industry.

The exhibitor selection committee brought together experts from Première Vision with industry manufacturers and buyers, thus playing a crucial role in maintaining a cohesive, high-quality offer that reflects the diversity of the market, from broad distribution to luxury, and assures brands that only the most relevant and innovative exhibitors are part of the event.  Each year, the selection committee approves around 30% of new applications.

There were five Fashion Forums where the latest developments were highlighted and showcased  strategically in spaces for both networking and sharing ideas, Industry professionals were treated to discoveries and the latest breakthroughs and innovations chosen by the Première Vision fashion team.

These areas offered visitors a cutting-edge experience set amidst the latest new products, allowing buyers to immerse themselves in a rich season, find solutions for their collections and explore sustainable and technical innovations.

Launched at this year’s show were multilingual audio guides (in French, English, Italian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese) to help enhance the visitors' experience.

Utilising four main exhibition halls, there were eight Universes servicing the various creative fashion markets, under the following categories Yarns (yarns and fibers), Fabrics (textiles), Designs (textile designs and motifs), Accessories (accessories and components), Manufacturing (fashion manufacturing), Smart Creation (technical and technological innovations, sustainable materials) and Leather (materials and accessories), as well as the Maison d’Exceptions (exclusive technical and crafted know-how).

In Maison d’Exceptions, an exclusive part of the fair for technical and crafted know-how showcasing exceptional creations that bridge tradition and innovation, visitors have the opportunity to meet artisans and skillful crafts professionals.

This section was particularly interesting for those seeking a new level of luxury for their collections.  As the luxury segment is expected to generate the biggest share of economic profit for fashion companies in 2024, according to a recent report The State of Fashion in 2024 by management consultancy McKinsey.
While companies have been challenged by the tough economic environment, the segment is forecast to grow globally by 3 to 5 percent, compared with 5 to 7 percent in 2023, as consumers rein in spending after a post-pandemic surge.

Another highlight this season was a new "leather hub" for trade visitors to explore the future of the leather industry.

A new section, "360° Leather: From Farm to Tech", was designated to complement the tanners, to provide professionals in leather industry to meet and exchange views on the new challenges facing the industry

The Deadstock area and the latest developments in the "A Better Way" programme gave focus to responsible sourcing and unused materials.  Participants included industry experts Adapta and Nona Source and, for the first time, L’Atelier des Matières. In addition, a special area dedicated to deadstock from PV Paris exhibitors were featured in the show.
The aim of the programme - ‘a better way’ - was to decode and showcase exhibitors’ efforts and investments designed to promote a more responsible fashion industry.  This segment has been expanded to include two new show universes.  Manufacturing and Smart Materials will thus be joining Fabrics, Yarns and Leather, which are already integrated into the program.

Also on the schedule were seminars to understand and decipher SS25 trends and more than 30 conferences featuring expert speakers on the challenges facing the industry and its future were scheduled. Themes included:-

• How to combine profitability and eco-responsibility by reusing materials?

• How are sourcing strategies adapting to the new fashion landscape?

• How to tailor climate action in the EU fashion industry?

• Toxic dyes: consequences for human health and ways to protect against them

• Lingerie: coming trends & innovations

• Accessories for Summer 2025, the comeback of the 90s!

Meanwhile, Première Vision as a long-standing partner of the Hyères International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories, set aside in this February 24 edition a dedicated space for Igor Dieryck, winner of the Grand Prix du Jury Mode 2023

The space showcased the young designer’s winning collection Yessir! - collection, an inspiring reflection on the role played by hotel staff, which challenges uniform norms to create a new, more contemporary interpretation.

Also visiting Première Vision Paris this February were the 10 finalists of the current year’s competition to the show, who took the opportunity to source materials from a selection of volunteer exhibitors - whom Première Vision will once again support and commit - to create the collections they will present at the next 39th edition of the Hyères Festival that will take place from October 10 to 13 October 2024.  In line with its ongoing support for young designers, Première Vision, for the first time, offered a programme specially targeted to enthusiastic fashion students wishing to learn more about the world of creative fashion.

The next edition of Première Vision Paris will take place July 2 - 4, 2024.

Trade Fair: Pure London x JATC to launch in February 2024; coinciding with Scoop London

Pure London, the fashion trade fair in the UK, has revealed its collaboration with Just Around The Corner (JATC) starting from February 2024. This partnership will give rise to "Pure London x JATC," a new venture falling within the retail division of Hyve, the parent company.

Scheduled for 11th to 13th February 2024 at Olympia London, the inaugural joint event aims to provide buyers with an enriched experience. Expect a dynamic showcase featuring an expanded array of visionary fashion designers and brands, according to the event organizers.

This new collaboration aims to streamline and enhance the experience for fashion professionals, buyers, and press—both local and international. Rather than navigating between separate venues, attendees can now access both events in a single location, saving valuable time and effort compared to previous fairs. The coinciding Scoop International London fair, focused on premium fashion, will also be hosted at Olympia West within the same exhibition pavilion.

Experts within the industry view this partnership as a rising trend, where competing trade events join forces to create a more robust fair. This strategic move comes in response to the intensifying competition within the market and also addresses the economic implications stemming from the post-pandemic landscape. A similar merging trend was observed earlier this month when Copenhagen International Fashion Fair merged with the Danish fair Revolver.

The July 2023 edition of PURE London held at Olympia in Kensington showcased a more compact arrangement. In contrast, the upcoming Pure London x JATC event in February 2024 will present a meticulously curated assortment of over 300 brands, including emerging designers.

Gloria Sandrucci, the event director of Pure London x JATC, expressed in a statement that this inaugural joint fair signifies a milestone in the history of these two fashion exhibitions. The driving force behind this collaboration is the shared vision to simplify and enhance the buying experience for purchasers.

She emphasized that Pure London's mission is to evolve into Europe's most captivating and diverse fashion celebration, offering a curated selection of brands, trustworthy trend insights, transformative business prospects, all while championing sustainability. By uniting with JATC and leveraging Pure London's 25-year legacy, the combined teams can pool their expertise, resources, and networks to create the preeminent fashion trade show experience. This unified approach addresses the needs of buyers and delivers the ultimate collection of brands under the iconic roof of Olympia London, said Ms Sandrucci.

Trade Fair: Texworld Evolution Paris reported a successful show for its July 2023 edition

The summer edition of  the Texworld Evolution Paris trade fair - encompassing  Apparel Sourcing, Avantex, Leatherworld and Texworld Paris – which took place from July 3 to 5  –    celebrated the event's 25th anniversary and welcomed nearly 6,800 international trade visitors to preview the latest on offer from 1,350 exhibitors from 27 countries.

The show was held for the first time at the Parc des Expositions in Porte de Versailles, Paris, where it will remain for its 2024 shows as well, while it's former venue at Le Bourget will serve as one of the venues for the 2024 Summer Olympics for which France is host.

Organisers said Texworld Evolution Paris trade fairs ended on a very positive note as the show took place in association with two other fairs that took place at the same exhibition centre during the same time -  namely Curve Paris and Interfilière Paris (for lingerie products and accessories ) - and thus offered buyers an unprecedentedly broad fashion platform in the heart of the French capital.

Organisers revealed that most of the buyers they had talked to had welcomed the decision to locate the show downtown Paris which simplified access to a show that was particularly eagerly awaited.

Organisers said in terms of visitor attendance to Texworld, 18% represented France, followed by Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey and Germany, and in terms of product offerings, this highly international edition confirmed the major balances between the Asian sourcing zones - as demonstrated by the strong Chinese presence, just 6 months after the reopening of the country, as well as Korean and Taiwanese - Indian and Mediterranean, with, once again this year, Turkey had a strong presence as well as a major sourcing country.

Organisers said in the face of inflation, collection managers tend to redirect their long-term sourcing strategy towards Asia or the Mediterranean region for restocking. Texworld is unique in terms of what it has to offer, according to a Spanish buyer from a distribution group.  "In two days, we can build 70 to 80% of our collections, by mixing fabric choices for creations that will be made in Spain or Portugal, but also finished products, which we will have made in Indonesia according to our specifications," said the buyer.

Frédéric Bougeard, President of Messe Frankfurt France which organises the Texworld trade fairs, said this July 2023 session revealed the changes taking place in the global market that is reorganising itself, and for which the offering must be adapted. “The fashion world is increasingly challenged, with consumers - and therefore buyers - becoming more demanding in terms of price, quality and durability."

Messe Frankfurt Paris photo.

Bougeard added, "We have to do more to attract our visitors and meet their expectations. That's why we've decided to renew our offer, in a new venue with new services, to 'whet the appetite' and make the visit more efficient. Eventually, we'll certainly have to go one step further, and offer our buyers a sharper selection of manufacturers. We are working on this with our partners, and it will be visible at the next edition, from 5 to 7 February in Hall 7 at Porte de Versailles."

Sustainability remains a key challenge for all in the industry.  A growing number of supplier countries present at the show are incorporating sustainability as a central element of their approach, and are moving fast on this issue. This key topic has been highlighted in the aisles by the sustainable sourcing itinerary, which enables visitors to easily identify several hundred certified companies.

Messe Frankfurt Paris photo

This year, a number of manufacturers from Pakistan and Taiwan  had joined forces to promote these aspects with a highly specialised range of products.

Pakistani company Cresent Bahüman Ltd. for one,  at the Sustainable Pakistan pavilion – which recycles the indigo waste generated by its dyeing processes to dye jeans and T-shirts sold by Spanish brand Pull& Bear  of the Inditex group.

Also worth noting was Wynist Retail Solutions, one of the six companies in the Taiwan Eco-Textiles Collective pavilion, which had developed an upcycling process that produces shop displays ( for retailers such as Uniqlo and Lululemon) using  fabric scraps and used clothing.

South African creativity was in the spotlight once again this year, as Messe Frankfurt featured the winners of the young South African designers' competition, organised by Allfashion Sourcing Cape Town, Messe Frankfurt's sourcing platform for African production.

Thando Munkus Ntuli (winner 2021) and Carla Hanekom (winner 2022) were present to showcase their creations in a dedicated area near the Agora. The event was organised as a part of the Texpertise – the textile business network, one of whose aims is to promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

This time the focus was on empowering women and achieving gender equality. Texpertise comprises around fifty of Messe Frankfurt's textile-related trade fairs worldwide.

Every year, as part of the innovation support policy developed by Messe Frankfurt France, the Avantex Fashion Pitch rewards the best projects in the fashion and textile sector. This year the winners are AwareTM and Refact by Induo, who were selected out of eight companies.

Dutch company AwareTM was selected for its scanner employed to determine the exact composition of a garment in order to facilitate its recycling. A special prize was awarded to Refact by Induo, whose solution enables the development on an industrial scale of a process for recycling all types of textiles and producing a new viscose fibre with very low ecological impact.

The 2023 jury was made up of Corinne Bégaud - head of HEC's Challenge+ programme - Christian Martin - founder of the Fashion Tech Lab and a specialist in augmented reality - and Frédérique Thureau - partner and leader of the TCBL textile network. Organised by Avantex Paris, the international trade fair for innovation in advanced and sustainable fashion, this event gives fashion and textile start-ups international exposure to investors, professionals and the media. CDamslab, De Rigueur, HYPUnderwear, NIL Textile, Redivivum, Terra Ferra and Thesara were finalists in the 2023 Avantex Fashion Pitch.

The next Texworld Evolution Paris trade fairs will take place February 5 - 7, 2024 at Parc des Expositions in Porte de Versailles, Paris.
