Digital Copenhagen Fashion Week AW21 goes live on February 2.

The Copenhagen Fashion Week AW21 Digital Edition is taking place from 2 - 4 February 2021.

The schedule includes a diverse selection of Nordic leaders in the fashion industry, from the talent incubator Designers' Nest to celebrated schedule stalwarts such as Ganni, Soulland and Henrik Vibskov.  Also returning this season are the likes of Stand Studio, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Anne Vest and Wood Wood, as well as newcomers Schnayderman's.   In addition, Marimekko and House of Dagmar will be showcasing their collections while the Zalando Sustainability Award winners will be announced on 4th February. To open the show, Copenhagen Fashion Week's CEO Cecilie Thorsmark will welcome a global audience with a live stream from the fair's production hub in Copenhagen.

 Small talks - Big conversations

During the next four days, a series of talks will be hosted by industry experts from both Denmark and Sweden; Amelia Hoy, Moussa Mchangama, Ane Lynge-Jorlén, Anne Christine Persson, Mads Nørgaard and Johan Wirfält. All will be diving into relevant and important topics like diversity, anti-racist practices, sustainability, the support of new-gen and designer journeys within the Scandinavian fashion industry.

Amelia Hoy, Danish-American actor, will be exploring anti-racist practices in the Scandinavian fashion industry with her speakers as she interviews Ervin Latimer, Nicole Kavander and Robin Douglas.

Moussa Mchangama, co-founder of In Futurum, will be discussing a sustainable future for fashion with Kate Heiny, director of sustainability Zalando SE, Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO Copenhagen Fashion Week and Céline Semaan-Vernon, designer, advocate, writer and founder of Slow Factory Foundation.

Ane Lynge-Jorlén, director of the Nordic incubator Designers' Nest, will be discussing how to teach fashion design with Tuomas Laitinen, the Finnish fashion director of Ssaw Magazine and associate director of fashion design at Parsons Paris.

Anne Christine Persson, journalist, and Mads Nørgaard, designer, will be interviewing the creative duo behind Rotate Thora Valdimarsdottir and Jeanette Madsen about the journey of Rotate.

Johan Wirfält will send live from the fair's studio in Stockholm, where he will be interviewing Karin Söderlind & Sofia Wallenstam, founders of House of Dagmar, about how they ended up running a family business, Hampus Bernhoff, creative director & Joel Urwitz, co-founder of Schnayderman's about embracing the outsider perspective as well as Jodi Everding, sustainability manager and Doreen Chiang, buying manager jersey & knitwear at Filippa K about changing the mohair industry.

Organisers say industry leaders are partaking in their Designer Q&A's this season.  Designers will be interviewed live after the release of their collections, and international editors and buyers will discuss staying creative in an uncertain climate, the value and importance of sustainable thinking and other vital topics that creatives are tackling today.  The lineup will include representatives from the likes of Vogue India, WWD Japan, New York Times T: Magazine, Elle China and Vogue Brazil.
