Key highlights at the Planted flagship launch event staged during London Design Festival from September 23-26 was a six-part Planted Unearthed talk series hosted by the fair’s biophilic design ambassador Oliver Heath and co-founder Sam Peters.

The talks, which took place at King’s Cross Granary Square were headlined on “delivering greener cities in a post-pandemic world.”
The first talk, What is biophilic design?, is hosted by Oliver Heath, and with guest panelists Dr Alia Fadel (Leeds Becket University), Roddy Langmuir (Cullinan Studio) and Vanessa Champion (Journal of Biophilic Design).

In association with Thread Films, other topics covered included Why Rewild?, and Toxic Cities that explored themes around designing cleaner, greener, healthier urban spaces built with nature in mind.
Planted brought together some of the leading thinkers in design, sustainability, food production, architecture and nature.
The list of panelists included the National Trust’s Patrick Begg, as well as Julia Davies of We have the Power Julia Davies and Mark Shayler of Ape.
