Premiere Vision Paris July 2 - 4 2024 fair report

Organizers of the Première Vision Paris international trade fair reported that some 930 rigorously selected exhibitors from over 40 countries showcased their collections and innovations to professionals from more than 8,000 companies across 115 countries. The event took place from July 2 to 4, 2024, at Parc des Expositions in Villepinte, north Paris.

The fair, managed by the GL EVENTS FASHION DIVISION, offered global trade visitors valuable opportunities to exchange business insights and network, facilitated by a newly organized exhibition space designed to enhance visitor paths.

A notable feature was the renewed Hosted Guests programme, organized in partnership with Business France for the first time. This initiative facilitated 1,500 matchmaking appointments among 230 international leaders and exhibitors, a significant increase from February 2024.

This event also introduced a new networking feature on the PV app, allowing exhibitors and visitors to identify each other and arrange meetings.

The IFM - Première Vision Chair presented its annual study in collaboration with the Institut Français de la Mode, surveying 6,000 people worldwide on consumer behavior. The study, titled "The New Criteria of Young Fashion Consumers," aimed to keep the community informed.

To aid businesses in forward planning, the PV Fashion team provided exclusive fashion insights through Sourcing Solutions and Inspiration forums, seminars, colour range presentations, editorial content, and two Denim and Leather exhibitions.

The fair featured a programme of over 35 talks and pitches on topics including eco-responsibility and technology. The new invitation-only "Conversation with" format welcomed Serge Carreira, Director of Emerging Brands of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, to discuss the evolution of creative processes and the future of fashion.

The PV Cube, a material library accessible by invitation and appointment only, showcased more than 300 new creations.

The 'a better way' program, extended to 312 exhibitors, provided eco-responsible support by analyzing responsible initiatives based on five criteria. Additionally, the Smart Creation sector featured 36 companies, and a new space was dedicated to deadstock from exhibitors.

Dedicated conferences on eco-responsibility and forums highlighting eco-responsible criteria for all materials were held, providing valuable information to attendees.

Representatives from French and European institutions shared their expertise, including Euratex, represented by its new president Mario Jorge Machado, who presented a roadmap for addressing the challenges faced by European textile companies. The Union des Industries Textiles and its 32 exhibitor members emphasized France's central role in material creation and production, while the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp showcased its results, signaling an anticipated rebound after several challenging years.

To enhance participants' experience in Paris, a city guide was provided, featuring recommendations for concept stores, art galleries, restaurants, and other inspirational locations.
