Popular Culture: BLACKPINK Announces Born Pink Pop-Up Experience in NYC Presented by American Express

One of the most successful K-pop groups in South Korea, BLACKPINK* have redefined the global pop landscape and its popularity has grown leaps and bounds since first bursting onto the scene in 2016.  

BLACKPINK is comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA—all immensely
charismatic vocalists, dancers, and fast-rising fashion icons.

Now BLACKPINK has announced the launching of the Born Pink Pop-Up Experience to take place in New York City from August 9th – August 12th at 541 W. 25th St., presented by American Express. Japanese graphic artist, VERDY, will serve as the artistic director for the global pop-up experience which started in London this past June and will be popping up in LA later this summer.

The Born Pink Pop-Up will give fans access to an added dimension of the group’s record breaking Born Pink World Tour with limited-edition merchandise designed by VERDY for the pop-up which will include New York-exclusive styles, premium tee shirts, hoodies, hats and accessories.

VERDY has created the exclusive capsule collection to coincide with upcoming global activations where he creates a world that merges his distinct artistic touch with BLACKPINK’s trendsetting aesthetic. Originally from Osaka, Japan and currently residing in Tokyo, VERDY is notably known for his iconic projects Girls Don't Cry, Wasted Youth, his panda rabbit character Vick and most recently Visty.
