Heimtextil to take place from January 14-17 2025 in Frankfurt

Heimtextil, one of the world’s largest and most influential trade fairs for home and contract textiles, serves as a major platform for manufacturers, designers, and retailers in the textile and interior design industries. The fair showcases the latest trends, innovations, and insights across home textiles, furnishings, and sustainable materials.

Organized by Messe Frankfurt, Heimtextil will next take place from January 14-17 2025 in its extensive exhibition grounds in Frankfurt. The event will span 16 hall levels dedicated to various textile categories, from fibres and yarns to finished products, providing a comprehensive market overview.

On a visit to London in October, Ivonne Seifert, Heimtextil's Director of Marketing Communications, shared that to-date approximately 2,900 exhibitors from 60 countries are set to present their latest collections, materials, and textile solutions, each showcasing current trends and innovations. Seifert highlighted that the upcoming event would introduce new highlights and additions, making Heimtextil a prime destination for trade visitors eager to expand their textile knowledge. As a networking and knowledge hub, Heimtextil aids companies in future-proofing their development and growth.

In response to growing demand for trend guidance, Heimtextil has, for the first time, enlisted Milan-based design platform Alcova to curate the Heimtextil Trends 25/26.  Additionally, world-renowned designer and architect Patricia Urquiola will bring textile design to life with an exclusive installation under the theme “among-us” in the Trend Arena, Hall 3.0.

Under the theme “Future Continuous,” Alcova will reimagine textiles by blending past influences with innovative, forward-looking trends that are original, unusual, and visionary. The showcase will highlight sustainable, progressive developments in textile design.

The "among us" installation will combine interior design and hospitality, focusing on immersive experiences in Bed, Bath & Living displays in Hall 12.0. Here, as well as in Hall 12.1, prominent brands and private label suppliers will present exclusive collections of bed linens, bathroom textiles, decorative cushions, bedspreads, and home accessories. Featured exhibitors include Beddinghouse (Netherlands), Lameirinho (Portugal), Marzotto Lab (Italy), Veritas (Turkey), Hellatex Textil (Austria), and Klaus Herding (Germany), along with returning brands like Hermann Biederlack and Formesse, both from Germany.

With a focus on modern sleep solutions, Hall 11.0 will host the Smart Bedding area, a hub for advanced sleep systems including bedding, duvets, pillows, mattresses, and textile-processing machinery.

Exhibitors here include returning names such as Billerbeck (Switzerland), KBT Bettwaren (Germany), Setex Textil (Germany), and Grasim Industries - Aditya Birla (India), along with companies like Hefel Textil (Austria), John Cotton Europe (Poland), Lenzing AG (Austria), OBB (Germany), Standard Fiber (USA), and Traumina (Germany).

In this 2025 event, Heimtextil will expand its Carpets & Rugs section, bringing together leaders in the international carpet industry. Seifert said already they have seen twice as many exhibitors as in the 2024 show.  The  Carpets & Rugs area will feature hand-woven and machine-woven carpets, designer pieces, and country pavilions.

There will be new exhibitors from Italy, India, Turkey, Tunisia, and Spain, and a dedicated showcase for Belgium Textiles. Additional products will include floor mats, clean-off systems, and textiles for outdoor and contract furnishings, rounding out a comprehensive view of the latest in carpet and flooring solutions.

In the Wall Decoration and Textile Design section, visitors can explore a vibrant selection of creative design studios, along with a wide array of wallcoverings, wallpapers, paints, digital prints, and CAD/CAM systems. Participating companies include Artcottage (UK), Decoprint (Belgium), Marburger Tapetenfabrik (Germany), Masureel (Belgium), Verbeek Design (Netherlands), Wallfashion House (Belgium), and York Wallcovering (USA). Meanwhile, exhibitors at the Window & Interior Decoration area, such as Aerolux (Germany), Forest Group (Netherlands), Hohmann (Germany), and Lindner (France), will display products specializing in sun protection solutions.

In Hall 3.1, the DecoTeam and its members will bring fresh inspiration with unique colour combinations for textile interiors. Exhibitors such as Englisch Dekor (Austria) and German brands Alfred Apelt, Erfal, Höpke Möbelstoff-Handels, Indes Fuggerhaus, Infloor Girloon, Kaiser Karl F. Buchheister, MHZ Hachtel, Paulig Teppichweberei, and Unland will present contemporary concepts aimed at interior decorators, designers, and contract business professionals. The focus here will be on curtains, upholstery, and sun-protective fabrics. Adjacent to this area, the Design Lounge powered by DecoTeam will feature a joint showcase from companies like Fine Textilverlag, Kadeco, Golze 1873, Haro Teppiche, and Theko.

The Fibres & Yarns area will see an expansion, encompassing woven and knitted fabrics, finishes, and equipment, with suppliers positioned across various product segments. Leading names such as Interima (UK), Georg & Otto Friedrich (Germany), Korteks (Turkey), Sasa Polyester (Turkey), and Trevira (Indorama Ventures Fibers Germany) will be among the featured exhibitors.

Heimtextil will feature a dedicated Decorative & Furniture Fabrics section, showcasing a comprehensive selection of decorative, upholstery, contract, artificial, and outdoor textiles. Hall 4 will house over 200 suppliers, primarily from Europe, creating a vibrant networking environment for professionals in the textile and upholstery industries, including interior decorators, architects, and designers. Key exhibitors include Atenzza Outdoor (Spain), Elastron (Portugal), Francisco Jover (Spain), Gebrüder Munzert (Germany), Libeco (Belgium), Manuel Revert (Spain), Martinelli Ginetto (Italy), Parà (Italy), Rohleder (Germany), and Vanelli (Turkey).

The fair will also offer a dynamic programme of interactive presentations, panel discussions, and guided tours. These events, held at the Texpertise Stage, will address significant issues and developments in the global textile industry, including flexible hospitality designs, regulatory updates, and sustainable solutions. The Retail Stage will offer a specially tailored programme for the retail sector.

Reflecting its commitment to sustainability, Messe Frankfurt introduces "Econogy," a concept linking sustainable practices with economic success. This initiative promotes the sustainability efforts across more than 50 textile trade fairs in Messe Frankfurt's global Texpertise Network. Exhibitors can opt for ESG/SDG-compliant audits to earn a special sustainability signet displayed at their stands and online. Curated companies are also featured in the Econogy FINDER, a tool designed to guide visitors to relevant sustainable exhibitors. The Econogy Hub, a dedicated meeting point for seal providers and certifiers, will also host Econogy Talks and Tours for knowledge exchange and demonstrations of best practices in sustainability.

With its carefully designed exhibition layout, extensive range of dedicated product areas, and focus on meeting the exacting standards of international trade visitors, Heimtextil is a valuable experience for anyone in the textiles industry. The fair provides an exceptional opportunity to explore global market trends and connect with leading professionals and suppliers, making it an ideal platform for networking and industry insights.

For more than 50 years, Heimtextil, organized annually by Messe Frankfurt, has continuously evolved to showcase innovations and address the latest industry developments, including sustainability and technology in textiles.
